Lusaka Eye Hospital Bus

Toyota Zambia is once again delighted to have reached out to its customers in the health sector and to have played a role in the development and efficiency of delivering health services to patients.

We are happy to have sold a Toyota Coaster on a generous Discount to the Lusaka Eye hospital this year in January 2016 which the director stated that they have been able to utilize for quite a few outreach events to date! Furthermore they were also able to conduct an Eye camp at the Lusaka Eye Hospital, and the patients were transported comfortably in their new bus.

Lubasi Orphanage Home

Toyota Zambia partnered with Lubasi Children’s home in improving the life of the children who are our future generation.

The donation of K15, 000 which was presented by TZAM Corporate Affairs Manager Mr. Gilbert Mfuya demonstrates a commitment and its way for Toyota to plough back into the community in which it operates.

Toyota was reliably informed that Lubasi children’s home currently has 43 children of which 19 are girls and 24 boys aged between 2years and 18years. Mr. Mfuya stated that it is the hope and trust of Toyota Zambia that the donation will help provide a conducive living environment for the Orphaned children in their newly constructed home where they will be able to study well and sleep peacefully, a great ingredient for better education and a better future. He encouraged the lovely children present to ensure that they take advantage of this environment being provided by Lubasi Home to aim higher and fulfill their dreams.


Toyota Zambia supports Nc’wala Traditional Ceremony

This year Toyota Zambia donated $2,171 towards the celebration of the Nc’wala traditional ceremony.

The funds were donated in form of T-shirts and other logistical needs to enable the organizing committee facilitate the event.

Zambia has a vast and rich culture that has been preserved from generation to generation. With over 72 local languages being spoken by its people, it is no wonder that there are so many traditional ceremonies being celebrated countrywide. Toyota Zambia appreciates the value of such culture and heritage and has from time immemorial supported traditional ceremonies.

Nc’wala Traditional Ceremony is held in February each year by the Ngoni people in the Chipata district of Eastern Province and celebrates the first harvests of the year. The ceremony takes place at Mutenguleni village near Chipata. When the crops are ripe at the end of February, the first fruits are given to Chief Mpezeni as a sacramental meal and thanksgiving to God and the ancestors. And this is the essence of the ceremony.


Toyota Zambia at James Corboy School

Toyota Zambia partnered with the Sisters of the Holy Spirit to provide adequate learning facilities at James Corboy School in Mazabuka.

A cheque of $16,142 was presented to the school on 27th February 2015 towards the construction of a 1 x 3 classroom block, bringing the total spend by Toyota Zambia on this project to $29,113.

The school is being run by the Religious Sisters of the Holy Spirit. The school has had a few challenges among them being inadequate School facilities to cater for children up to Grade 7 and other support infrastructure required in order for the school to offer quality Education in a conducive environment.

Toyota Zambia has supported the construction of the classroom block since inception thus contributing to the development of the country through Education which is in line with the Shareholders objectives of improving the quality of life for the communities in which we operate.

In appreciation of Toyota Zambia’s support, Sr. Mariana Bbalo assure Toyota Zambia that the monetary support will help to bring to fruition the dream of Bishop James Corboy of empowering Zambian citizens with knowledge because he believed that an educated person is a liberated person who is able to make informed decisions. The classroom block will be named after Toyota Zambia as a token of appreciation.

Toyota Zambia Limited will continue to contribute to the community initiatives that uplift the young ones in the hope of laying a solid foundation for the future.


Toyota Zambia donates to St. Joseph School for the Deaf

Toyota Zambia donated assorted learning materials to the School for the Deaf located on the Copperbelt.

The donation was done during the handover ceremony held at the School on Tuesday 2nd December, 2014. Also donated was paint towards the refurbishment of the School infrastructure. The donation included Books and stationery.

The school is the only one of its kind in Zambia and in the Southern region of Africa that provides education to the Deaf. It is a school solely for Deaf Children from as young as 6 years to 18 years. It offers school places for a limited number of children who are either born deaf or become deaf due to ailments such as meningitis or trauma. These children do not have any other impairment apart from being deaf. They sit for the General Certificate School Education (GCSE) ‘O’ Level Exam just like all other children despite their disability.

In her letter of appreciation, St. Joseph School Head teacher Sr. Kaloto Charity thanked Toyota Zambia for the support. “The School administration, faculty members and the pupils are very grateful for your kind support” the Head teacher said. Toyota Zambia Limited is hopeful that the donated materials will enhance the delivery of Quality Education and also help motivate the teachers at the School.


Donation to the Sisters of The Holy Spirit

Toyota donated cheque to the sisters of the Holy Spirit under the Catholic Church of Monze Diocese towards the ongoing classroom construction.

Toyota Zambia handed over a Cheque for Nine thousand Seven hundred Fifty six United States Dollars ($9,756.00) equivalent to Sixty thousand Zambian kwacha (K60, 000) to the sisters of the Holy Spirit under the Catholic Church of Monze Diocese towards the ongoing construction of the 3 x 1 classroom block for grades 3 and 4 at James Corboy School in Mazabuka. The aim of the Religious Sisters of the Holy Spirit is to offer quality education to the learners at the school in order to increase the productive life as adults who will contribute positively to the development of mother Zambia. 

In attendance during the Cheque presentation at the James Corboy School was the Superior General Sr. Mariana Bbalo of Catholic Diocese of Monze, Parents and Members of staff of James Corboy School, Members of staff from Toyota Zambia Ltd, The Parents Teachers association Chairman and members of the press. Mr. Gilbert Mfuya, Corporate Affairs Manager for Toyota Zambia mentioned how honored TZAM was to partner with the sisters of the Holy Spirit in the development of infrastructure at James Corboy School, in Mazabuka. The donation of $9,756.00 demonstrates the commitment TZAM has regarding corporate social responsibility. He stated that Toyota Zambian believes participating in this project will provide an opportunity for the underprivileged children to obtain a firm primary education foundation, which is a right for every child. Mr. Mfuya thanked the catholic diocese of Monze for its continued efforts for improved delivery of education and health services in the region as evidenced by the works of Sisters of the Holy Spirit. He ended by thanking the parents and local community for supporting this noble cause.

A the same event, Sr. Mariana Bbalo welcomed all who attended the ceremony and conveyed her sincere gratitude to Toyota Zambia for its faithfulness and generosity to help the school towards the construction of the grades 3 and 4 classroom block. Sr. Mariana assured Toyota Zambia that the monetary contribution would be used for the intended purpose and upon completion of the super structure a report would be submitted.

We are happy to share with you that on Saturday the 4th of March 2023 we had an eventful day in the town of Kabwe. Having had several successful Takata airbag checks/replacements and customer engagements, we decided to extend the gesture to Kabwe, and the experience was as expected, customers were happy that their plea to have this campaign extended to Kabwe was actioned.

We would like to thank everyone that came to have their cars checked/airbag changed, for safety first is one of Cfao Motors (Zambia) Ltd philosophy.

Cfao Motor Zambia Limited joined other stake holders in commemorating Police Day, which fell on the 4th of March 2023, under the theme: Police Service & The Community in Partnership to Fight Crime. The annual Police Day Celebration is meant to recognize the profession of all superior officers, subordinates and other ranks, who uphold professionalism, integrity, accountability, confidentiality, impartiality, excellence and pro-activeness as they carry out their duties.

The Zambian 4X4 Challenge Powered by Toyota

On the 4th of March we joined 4×4 enthusiasts to an outdoor adventure Southeast of Lusaka where the Zambian 4×4 Challenge was held at the Paint ball arena on Leopard’s hill road Lusaka. The event was exciting because the drivers experienced different 4×4 obstacles such as steep hills, axle benders, water splashes and rocks to mention but a few.

While others got stuck and had to be towed out, others breezed through the course, with the Toyota Hilux and Landcruiser being among those that made the track look easy.
