Land Cruiser models for Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC).
Hino Motors Limited(HML) was founded in 1910, it was known as the Tokyo Gas Industry Company and in 1918 they started with the mass production of vehicles, in 2001 HML became a full subsidiary of TMC. In 2016 HML once again was the top seller in the medium and heavy duty truck market in Japan for the 43rd consecutive year.
Toyota Zambia currently sell and service Hino trucks from the Nangwenya dealership in Lusaka and Copperbelt Toyota in Kitwe, both facilities are equipped with state of the art tooling and staff are regularly trained to stay abreast of the latest technical developments. The Hino range consists of vehicles that range from a 2ton payload truck right up to a 6x4 Truck/Tractor capable of transporting 30ton loads.
Our expert sales team can design load bodies based on customer requirements and a high level of customisation is possible, this is evident in a truck designed for UNZA recently. UNZA needed a mobile laboratory with extra seating capacity, additional fuel tanks to increase the vehicle`s range, on-board fresh water and an airtight load body, the vehicle also had to have 4x4 capabilities. The Hino 1321 4x4 was selected, this specific model has a long, and rich tradition and has legendary off-road capabilities, it has once again won the gruelling Dakar race for trucks with an engine size smaller than 10litre in 2016.
Toyota Zambia offers free driver training to all their Hino customers, to date close to 100 drivers participated and feedback from customers are very positive. They mainly notice they are experiencing less breakdowns and fuel savings, once a year a driver competition is held to determine who the best Hino driver in Zambia is.
