All new Toyota vehicles sold by CFAO Mobility Zambia from December 2023 will have 5 years or 150,000km warranty whichever comes first.
Toyota by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited Extended Warranty policy has been designed to protect you and your New Toyota vehicle for longer. This gives the peace of mind knowing that you are covered by us.
Please make sure you understand the cover this policy provides, including its limitations, and your obligations to:
- Have your vehicle serviced in accordance with the requirements set out in this document; and
- Have any repairs duly authorised by the CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited.

Important Information
All New Toyota vehicles sold by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited will be covered under the original manufacturer warranty for 3 years or 100,000km, an additional 2 years of 50,000km will be covered by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited.

We only use Genuine Toyota spare parts to carry out repairs to your vehicle.
If you’re ever dissatisfied with the outcome of any of your repairs carried out with us, we invite you to use our internal dispute resolution service.
Your Promise to us
When we agree to cover a warranty claim, our decision relies on the accuracy of the information you give us. You must provide honest, correct and complete answers to the questions we ask you. If the information you provide us is not honest, correct and complete, we may reduce or deny any claim you make, cancel your warranty or treat your warranty as if it never existed.
Vehicle servicing requirements
The vehicle must be maintained by regular servicing and maintenance (including fluid and lubricant levels) in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Details of these recommendations are contained in the owner’s documentation. All servicing and repairs must be performed by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited or an approved CFAO Mobility Authorized Service Centre. If you fail to do this, we may refuse or reduce any claim you make and/or cancel the warranty. You should keep evidence of how and where your vehicle has been serviced by ensuring the service maintenance records contained in your owner’s documentation are completed, as it will help to minimise any delay in processing any claim you may make.
When are you covered
Your period of additional 2 years or 50,000km cover by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited will start:
- On the date that your original manufacturer warranty expires; or
- The date the travelled distance set out under the manufacturer warranty has been reached.
Your period additional 2 years or 50,000km cover by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited cover will end:
- The date that your extended warranty expiry time has been reached as set in the policy; or
- The vehicle has travelled the distance set out under the period of extended warranty.
Scenarios of cover:
Scenario 1;
- 3 years has elapsed from new vehicle purchase date, however 100,000km not reached.
- Original manufacturer warranty expired due to time and additional 2 years
covered by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited becomes active.
Scenario 2;
- Vehicle travelled 100,000km from new vehicle purchase date, however 3 years has not elapsed.
- Original manufacturer warranty expired due to distance travelled and the additional 50,000km covered by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited becomes active.
What is covered
The extended warranty extends the manufacturer’s new vehicle warranty, except for those items referred to in ‘What is not covered’.
If your vehicle fails within Zambia during the extended cover period, we may choose, at our option, to pay the cost of either repairing or replacing any Toyota components of your vehicle found to be defective in materials or workmanship under normal operation and use in Zambia.
Important point to note
The Hybrid Electric Battery on all Toyota HEVs(Hybrid Electric Vehicles) sold by CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited will be covered for 8 years or 195,000km warranty.
What is not covered
1. We will not reimburse for towing your vehicle to the nearest CFAO Mobility branch or Authorized Service Centre should towing be required for the purpose of carrying out an approved repair to your vehicle.
2. We will not reimburse any costs incurred for temporary accommodation if a failure occurs outside your normal place of residence.
3. We will not reimburse you for the cost of car hire where repairs are required to your vehicle.
4. Consumable items that have a limited working life such as those recommended for regular replacement within the owner’s documentation, including but not limited to;
- auxiliary batteries
- clutch components
- tyres
- hoses
- brake pads, brake discs, brake linings brake drums
5. The costs of normal maintenance or service, this includes adjustments to your vehicle that are part of the scheduled servicing recommended by Toyota as described in the owner’s documentation. Any vehicle adjustments or replacements necessary to maintain roadworthiness, insurance or registration.
6. Any failure caused by contaminated/ incorrect fuel grade, incorrect or poor-quality lubricants.
7. Any consequential loss, expense, damage or liability, including loss of time or convenience, or a reduction in the value of your vehicle or personal liability.
8. Paint and surface rust including but not limited to; cosmetic or surface corrosion from stone chips or scratches in the paint.
9. Vehicle glass including but not limited to chips, cracks, staining and breakage.
10. Any Toyota component that fails outside the extended warranty period.
11. Software upgrade, reprogramming or technical change/upgrade.
12. Any accessory fitted to the vehicle.
13. Any failure that occur outside Zambia.
Your extended warranty does not cover parts that fail because:
1. You have neglected to properly maintain and service your vehicle.
2. Your vehicle has been fitted with parts that are non-genuine, not made or not supplied by Toyota.
3. Your vehicle has been modified from Toyota factory specifications, unless the modifications are Toyota approved and installed.
4. Of acts of nature (for example bushfire, earthquake, thunderstorm, hail, flood).
5. Of the continued operation of your vehicle once a defect or fault has occurred (including loss of lubricants and coolant).
6. Of the misuse, abuse or vandalism of your vehicle, including but not limited to use for any purpose other than for which it was designed, sustained driving at high speeds, racing or any other competitive use.
7. Of corrosion, electrolysis or rust.
8. Of any items that require periodic replacement as part of normal vehicle maintenance.
9. Of you (or anyone using your vehicle or acting with your consent) intentionally damage your vehicle causing component failure.
10. Of accident damage or consequential failure after accident damage repairs.
Your policy will cease immediately where :
1.You make or attempt to make a fraudulent claim.
2. Your vehicle is used for hire, fare or reward, or as a taxi, loan or driving school vehicle.
3. Your vehicle is used as a rental vehicle.
4. Your vehicle is used for motor sports or as an emergency, security or law enforcement vehicle.
5. Your vehicle is used as a courier vehicle.
6. Your vehicle is used for towing for income.
7. Your vehicle is used on mining sites.
All claims require the approval of CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited Warranty Administrator
If you wish to log an extended warranty claim, you must ask the CFAO Mobility branch or CFAO Mobility Authorised Service Centre to contact the CFAO Mobility Warranty Administrator to obtain claim authorisation.
CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited reserves the right to deny any claim if the failure is not related to workmanship or component defect.
CFAO Mobility Zambia Limited reserves the right to change policy wording and/or terms without prior notice.
